Former President Donald Trump (R) delivered stirring remarks about your Second Amendment rights at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas this past week.
“The same far-left Democrats who are defunding police are also leading an all-out crusade to strip you, the law-abiding citizens of America, of your God-given Second Amendment rights,” said Trump. He went on to add that we “must never waver in demanding that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
Also, at a recent rally in Wellington, Ohio, Trump said, “If you remember, when I was campaigning against Joe Biden, I said, ‘They are going to take away your guns’ and ‘Your Second Amendment is under siege.’”
Trump is clearly right.
Already, President Joe Biden (D) has made it clear his administration is the most anti-Second Amendment to date. Biden has sought to ban commonly owned rifles, to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, and so much more, all while repeatedly telling lie after lie in the process.
In the lead up to last fall’s election, Trump was blunt and concise about what would potentially happen should Biden take office, a message that rings true with his recent words. “If Joe Biden gets in, your Second Amendment is gone. It’s gone—either obliterated to a point of being gone or gone itself,” said Trump at a campaign event last September.
And in an exclusive Oval Office interview last year with America’s 1st Freedom Editor in Chief, Frank Miniter, Trump said, “I respect American freedom. Biden wants to take it away. We won’t have a Second Amendment if he is elected.”
The former president has never been one to mince his words, and his previous warnings of what the Biden administration intends to do with your rights remain a dire concern.
As he said, though, we must not waver in defense of our Second Amendment rights. If you’re wondering how to do just that, an imperative first step would be standing against Biden’s radical nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, David Chipman. Should Chipman be confirmed, the ominous future Trump warned of could certainly become a reality.
