Milwaukee Carry Permit Holder Fights Off Armed Robbers

posted on January 3, 2017

A Milwaukee man, who is licensed to carry a concealed firearm for self-defense, fought off two armed robbers last Tuesday night.

The 36-year-old man was out walking his dog when two men approached him, at least one with a gun, and tried to rob him. The man then drew his own gun and shot both of his assailants in self-defense.

One of the alleged robbers, 17-year-old Deonte Thomas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man, who was injured during the attempted robbery, was taken into custody later.
