I Am Forever: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained

posted on December 15, 2015

On the fifth episode of “I Am Forever” Season 2, sponsored by FNH USA, we are asked to consider why young people in America today seem so unwilling to reach out and grasp the opportunities that lie in front of them. Nick recounts visiting the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada and being amazed that a young woman who lived less than 20 miles away had never taken the time to see such a majestic place.

The backpackers learn how to prepare a poncho raft for transporting their packs across a water obstacle, as well as the best technique for hiking up a steep incline. And the panel discusses how an increasingly timid and risk-averse element in American society is changing everything from the academy to the family.

Long-time fans of “Cam & Co.” will already be familiar with the faces and backgrounds of the panelists, but some of our readers may only know Cam Edwards from his A1F Daily column. For those who are curious, here is some background information about these lively and distinguished commentators.
