Gun-Control Poster City Passes 1,000 Shootings In Record Time

posted on April 26, 2016

The gun-ban paradise of Chicagoland set another tragic milestone last Wednesday during a 14-hour span when 13 people were shot, including a 4-year-old boy who was wounded in the foot while walking with his mother. That moves the number of people shot in Chicago this year past the 1,000 mark—the earliest that number has been reached since tracking began in 2012. In fact, April 20 shatters the record, as Chicago had never previously reached 1,000 before June.

Several of the victims have been simply youngsters, even toddlers, caught in gang crossfire.

While Chicago is famous for its extremely restrictive gun laws as they pertain to law-abiding citizens, its revolving-door justice system is also legendary. Taken together, the combination represents a recipe for disaster that is currently being experienced on the city’s mean streets.
