The Michael Bloomberg-funded group Everytown for Gun Safety, a devoutly anti-gun group seeking to further restrict gun ownership by law-abiding Americans, is enlisting authors to help spread its half-truths and lies.

According to group officials, the so-called Everytown Authors Council, is designed “to harness the power of the literary community to amplify the gun safety movement.” They continued: “It is because of this that authors are singularly suited to speak out on the need for common-sense gun laws, and to tell the stories of those who have been devastated by gun violence in this country.”

In fact, Bloomberg and Everytown have never seen a restrictive gun law that they don’t like, regardless of the effect on law-abiding gun owners. As NRA-ILA put it in a weekend update, “One would hope that shameless shilling on behalf of a statist billionaire would be derided in any artistic community.”
