A Corpus Christi homeowner used his firearm to stop a home intruder early Saturday morning.

According to local media reports, the homeowner heard a knock on the front door of his house at about 3:30 a.m. The homeowner didn’t recognize the man, so he didn’t let him in.

Not long after that, he heard the suspect come through the back door. After confronting him, the homeowner shot the intruder one time, putting an end to the invasion. The intruder was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Charges are pending.
