So President Joe Biden’s (D) horrific failure to honorably exit Afghanistan has given the Taliban vast arsenals of U.S. small arms, as well as helicopters, military vehicles, and much more. Meanwhile, Biden thinks law-abiding Americans can’t be trusted with the most-popular rifles and pistols sold in the U.S. today.

“The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a 9 mm pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous,” Biden said during a CNN “town hall” meeting in late July. “I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things.”

Just a few weeks after he said this, the Biden administration’s inept retreat left so many fully automatic firearms (yes, actual “assault weapons”) for the Taliban—and, thus, for terrorists—that the Taliban has been bragging on social media—with shocking photos of American arms—that they got our guns, grenades, and more.

“Built and trained at a two-decade cost of $83 billion, Afghan security forces collapsed so quickly and completely—in some cases without a shot fired—that the ultimate beneficiary of the American investment turned out to be the Taliban. They grabbed not only political power but also U.S.-supplied firepower—guns, ammunition, helicopters and more,” reported AP.

Meanwhile, according to Reuters, the Taliban, which once sheltered Osama bin Laden, is going door-to-door and collecting guns from civilians. Like Biden, the Taliban understands that an armed citizenry is a free citizenry.

Policing Should Not Be A Political Issue

Crime is a complicated topic, but there is an extremely simple rule that must be observed before one can begin to fight it effectively: One must genuinely wish to deal with the problem. Without such an elementary ambition, no amount of legislation, activity, taxpayer money or speechmaking will make the slightest bit of difference.
