One thing that makes the NRA such a strong organization is the millions of individuals—men and women across this great nation—that proudly stand together to support the NRA and our fight for the Second Amendment. The same thing is true for NRA Country. We have been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in music, but independent artists like Jamie Talbert help make the backbone of the brand. An NRA Endowment Member and Texas native, Talbert has performed on the NRA Country Sound Stage at multiple Annual Meetings and recently wrote a song in support of the values of the NRA. NRA Country’s Vanessa Shahidi took a moment to ask Talbert a few questions and learn more about the emerging artist.

VS: Do you have a favorite personal firearm?
JT: I love all of my guns, but a M1 carbine I inherited from my grandfather holds a special place in my heart.

VS: Why did you write the song “Stand and Fight”?
JT: The song came to me as I was preparing to play at NRA’s Annual Meetings in Dallas back in 2018. I thought about what this country means to me and the values instilled in me when I was growing up. I was raised to respect our flag, our country and the men and women of the military, who have made sacrifices so that we can enjoy our many freedoms. I’m proud to see the song on all of the digital platforms including iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music. The NRA Annual Meetings are always a great opportunity to share my music with like-minded patriots who support the same principles that I believe in.

VS: What are your hobbies?
JT: I value spending time with my family in the great outdoors sharing our love of hunting and fishing. I also have a great passion for collecting and investing in rare coins due to their beauty and the ability to hold American history in your hands.

He may not be a household name quite yet, but Jamie Talbert is NRA Country. Visit JamieTalbert.net to learn more about him and hear his song, “Stand and Fight.”

Policing Should Not Be A Political Issue

Crime is a complicated topic, but there is an extremely simple rule that must be observed before one can begin to fight it effectively: One must genuinely wish to deal with the problem. Without such an elementary ambition, no amount of legislation, activity, taxpayer money or speechmaking will make the slightest bit of difference.
