An Indiana church recently held a faith and firearms outdoor event that promoted gun safety for the family.
Sponsored by a minister/firearms instructor, the event was billed as “A Day of Promoting Responsible Gun Ownership.”
There were activities for children and adults. All the guns for the children were disabled firearms. The event had an exploration table for kids with the message “look but don’t touch” to teach impulse control as well as home firearm safety classes.
It featured over 100 pistols on display in which participants could “try before you buy.”
"They could come out here, pick up any gun that they wanted to, one person one shooter, two shooters per table, just shooting and enjoying the firearm," the minister said.
