American Outdoor Brands Corp. this week announced the completed purchase of LaserLyte, a company that produces laser training equipment for the consumer market. You might know the company for its blue laser training firearms or it’s training targets, some of which allow the user to time their shooting drills.

“We are excited to add the LaserLyte brand and product lines to our existing lineup of Crimson Trace laser sights, tactical lights and optics,” said Lane Tobiassen, president of the Electro-Optics Division and Crimson Trace Corp. “LaserLyte is well-known among consumers for its innovative laser training and sighting products, which cover a range of applications including non-live fire firearms training, sighting in rifle scopes and optics, and entertainment.”

LaserLyte’s product line is one that is seen as complementary to the items Crimson Trace already offers, which made the acquisition appear to be a logical step.

With the purchase, a cash-on-hand deal, Crimson Trace will own the inventory and intellectual property of LaserLyte. All physical products will be transferred to Crimson Trace’s Oregon facility.
