SIG Sauer’s hard work and dedication paid off with recognition for quality and professionalism at the 2018 National Association of Sporting Good Wholesalers (NASGW) Expo on Oct. 16 in Pittsburgh.

Among the accolades, the company was honored with the NASGW-POMA Caliber Award for “Best New Optic” on the Electro-Optics Ballistic Data Xchange (BDX) system and “Best New Overall Product” for the SIG Sauer P365.

In May, SIG Sauerintroduced the BDX system to industry fanfare. The optic, featured at American Hunter, is innovative for its integrated rangefinder and riflescope system utilizing Applied Ballistics and Bluetooth technology, allowing hunters and shooters to calculate and illuminate the exact holdover dot when they’re ready to take that perfect shot. The company made sure the app is available on both Android and iOS devices.

“This Caliber Award is shared and appreciated by everyone on the team at SIG Sauer that worked to develop the BDX system and bring a product to market that fuses technology in a simple way with traditional rangefinders and riflescopes—changing the game for hunters and shooters everywhere,” said Andy York, president of SIG Sauer’s Electro-Optics division.

On the firearm side, the P365 has been making a mark of its own and is deserving of its “Best New Overall Product” award. “We developed the P365 because we saw a need in the market for a true high-capacity micro-pistol that would meet our high standards for quality and performance,” said Tom Taylor, chief marketing officer and executive vice president of the Commercial Sales department. “Receiving this year’s Caliber Award for Best Overall Product in 2018 is a very fitting accolade for the P365 because this pistol checks all the boxes when it comes to ingenuity, value, and uniqueness.”

As a concealable, every-day-carry pistol, the P365 offers a higher capacity than its competitors. It is also smaller and lighter than other pistols in its size category. With a patented, modified double-stack magazine allowing for 10+1 full-size capacity, with a 12-round factory-made magazine available for 13-round capacity, it’s no wonder NASGW felt SIG deserved recognition.

That award is a testament to the professionalism, hard work and dedication of the commercial sales team to represent SIG Sauer, Taylor said. “It’s a tremendous honor for all of us at SIG SAUER to be recognized by NASGW with the Leadership Award for Innovator of the Year. We truly value and appreciate our partnership with the distributor network represented through NASGW, and work tirelessly to bring forward innovative products and programs that showcase our diverse product offering,” he said.
